For our 2024 Boston Harbor Cruise, The ‘Ladies are adding a little something philanthropic to the event by raising funds for the Caring for Cambodia (CFC) School Music Program. Our drummer, Tim Spooner, and his family have been involved with CFC starting in 2008, when they lived in Singapore. They traveled back to Siem Reap in 2015 with their then-teen guitarist/singer/songwriter Em to initiate the CFC Music Program at Aranh High School, and supported it with fundraisers over the years. The program has taken root, blossomed, and spread to other CFC schools, with dozens of enthusiastic kids learning lifelong music skills! This is now a key part of CFC’s Music and Life Skills Education program. The Church Ladies want to help to continue and accelerate the growth of this exciting and growth-oriented program for these really great, appreciative kids who have very limited resources and who are the future of Cambodia.
